Bity Sketches 1

Some sketches for Bity [link] (if you wanted to know his really basic look. Since that was a sketch too XD but it has color.)

These look really off since you don't know a lot (or anything apparently, wow go me) about him. His (fictional, i didn't take him from anyone) former master (owner whatever, he was a pet XD) treated him poorly and used him as a breeder and for his own entertainment which were various cruel things. His master would throw elaborate dinner parties where the dishes consisted of medusa and such, so many of the only others of his kind Bity ever met he never saw again. (not that he quite knew what was happening to them, he completely trusted his master who could do no wrong in his eyes)

Bity has a love for life that has been twisted and conditioned by his master that causes him a lot of problems. He was encouraged to be quite rough and forceful with his partners. He has some very deep scars all around his neck and shoulders from them fighting back. He wears leather gloves. His master trained him to wear them always, and his word was law. They have metal loops on the back for when his master needed to get in his cage for any reason, he would have Bity line up with a bar he could chain him too, since when you raise something that can kill you with its hands (and thinks that is good) and has poor impulse control, you want to take some precautions. He was allowed to take his gloves off for only a few reason, and only on his master's orders. Those times he would go nuts. The feel of things excites him terribly and it will look like his hands have a mind of their own as the touch everything. Breaking him of the habit of requirement for his gloves is going to be a long process. The headgear he wears is for his own comfort and the safety of others around him. He cannot help but bite down hard when he gets excited (which doesn't take much, having lived in almost solitary confinement his whole life) so it keeps him from breaking his teeth or ripping up the object of his attention, articularly since the biting was encouraged by his master, inflicted screams of pain were also met with reward.

His eyes are very bad, he can mostly just see blurry shapes and color. Due to this he is very attentive of movement and the slightest thing can catch his attention. He prefers to be kept in dimly lit rooms. Small sounds like voices or footsteps interest him, but he wouldn't know what to do with music (or god forbid an action movie XD... or any shows o_o)

He isn't a young medusa, and does have a few years in him. His hair, a pride for most medusa, is actually much more wispy and thinner then most. He doesn't even care or notice, but once he is rescued, the medusa he gets to know help him at least take a little better care of it. (XD) As the only haircut he knew before was his master grabbing it in a handful and cutting.

Even though his master was not a good man, he doesn't understand it since it is all he has ever known. This can make it hard when he meets new people, as he still spends most of his time alone while being retrained. He is unaware his master has been killed (currently... not for much longer XD) and thinks he has somehow done something wrong since he hasn't seen him for a while. Bity can be disturbingly upbeat and excitable, which only makes it that much harder when his brain tries to comprehend something is wrong. Eager to please his new friends or visitors he pulls out all of his bad habits he was trained and praised to do, leading to bad situations.

He was named by a friend's character, since they snuck into where he was being kept and got to know him, naming him after his actions. He didn't really have a name before that, even from his master, so he kept it.

As for the above pictures (omg that was a lot more rambling then I thought it would be XD sorry) I was just playing with various designs. He doesn't have a true outfit (i try to give them at least one common outfit. Bity will be different in that respect too, since he never had clothes he will probably have several even if they are very basic) none of these quite nail him for me. Gotta play with that more some day ^_^
